SHATTER THE SILENCE
Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among all peoples. Psalm 96:3
Our family will be serving in Lilongwe, Malawi in Africa. The country of Malawi is one of 49 countries that make up Sub-Saharan Africa. We are going to Lilongwe to help Shatter the Silence.
Why is there silence? Because...
In Sub-Sahara Africa, many people live in isolated and hard to reach places. This means many places have no Christians among the people to share the Gospel.
Some people are held in bondage to traditional spiritual beliefs or false teachings. They fear rejection or judgment from their family if they choose to follow another way, the way of Jesus Christ.
There are simply not enough missionaries, Christian volunteers or local believers answering the call to shatter the silence among the 807 million people of Sub-Saharan Africa.
Where is there silence? Silence is found...
There are nearly 2,000 people groups of Sub-Saharan Africa. More than 600 of those people groups have never once heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Others have been engaged with the Gospel but have yet to respond.
